Our Christian Community Center Provides Vital Youth Services
GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center in Inglewood, California, provides critical youth services for the leaders of tomorrow. Our Christian community center serves many people in need, but we are particularly dedicated to helping young people escape the trials of poverty.
The Chronicles of GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center
More than 16 years ago, Pastor Forrest Fykes Sr. and his family envisioned an outreach ministry founded on the apostle’s doctrine. His son, Elder Forrest Fykes II, carefully considered the name GREATER WORKS Apostolic Outreach to reflect the work we were called to do. After much prayer and fasting, the Fykes family sought counsel with the late Bishop Lewis D. Stallworth, Sr., diocesan bishop of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith. Approval gave us official permission to open our home as a recognized small church offering worship services in June 1999, and The GREATER WORKS Ministry was born.
Faithful Dedication
During the developmental stages we remained faithful through hardship, and God validated our work by increasing growth. Many souls were baptized in the name of Jesus in the Pacific Ocean, and we took this outreach to the streets to aid the less fortunate. From teaching, mentoring, and counseling to working in prisons and casting out demons, GREATER WORKS prospered. We officially incorporated in spring 2004, which opened countless opportunities for us.

Action-Focused Youth Services
Our goals and objectives are to provide much needed youth services in the community. We tutor young future leaders in math, science, and reading in both English and Spanish. We also set out to decrease:
High School Dropout Rates | Teen Pregnancies | Gang Affiliations | Drug Usage | Criminal Offenses By & Against Youth
A Bountiful Harvest
We faithfully ministered in our home for 12 years, until the Lord saw fit to transition us into a facility located at Claude Hudnall Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room in May 2011. After 16 years, the Fykes family is confident of one thing, “that they who wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength.” GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center has proven to be a ministry driven by people with a vision. Down through the years we have seen the faithfulness of God, and God continues to reward our faithfulness through humble service.
Serving the Community
In 2007, we hosted our first California and Western States Council’s 147th session in Inglewood. In 2008, Pastor Fykes and his wife partnered with Get On The Bus, an organization that reunites children with their fathers in prison. Through our work that year, 27 children visited their incarcerated dads to enjoy a Saturday with them on Father’s Day weekend.
Keeping the Faith
In 2011, GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center found a new location that enabled the ministry to grow, develop, and broaden its territory. Each year our ministry feeds the homeless and less fortunate during the Thanksgiving holidays. In 2015, the GREATER WORKS Apostolic Outreach Ministry became GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center. Come be a part of our Christian Community Center.
